We’re just going through our guest list, and I’m trying to determine a rough number on how many invites I’m going to need. And I’ve hit a roadblock on UK invite etiquette.
On my guest list are a mother and daughter. Daughter is a grown adult, but lives with her mum. Both are wonderful people and I dearly want them there. Because the daughter is grown, do I send them each a separate invitation? Or is it ok to send one invite addressed to the pair of them?
Also, there’s the save the dates. My timeline was going to be the following, as our wedding will be the first day back after October half term, and a lot of our friends have kids. Send Save the dates in January, and invites in May. I figured that would be more than enough time for those that want to/can attend to book holiday off etc as it’s a Monday, and a lot of people would have used most of their holiday allowance by then. Is that too soon?
