I could use some help with the wording invite. Our situation isn’t very complicated, but I’m still struggling a bit. Both our parents are married, and we want to include them all on the invite. Here’s how I have it now:
Mr. & Mrs. John and Jane Smith
Mr. & Dr. Jim and Joan Miller
Request the pleasure of your company
at the marriage of their children
Katherine Ann Smith
Daniel James Miller
1. Is it ok that I used a “&” between Mr. and Mrs., but “and” between the actual names?
2. Does it look funny to have the single lines with “And?” The font we’re using at the moment is in all caps.
3. Does Mr. and Dr. sound funny? FMIL says she doesn’t care if she is Dr. or Mrs. on the invitation.
I’m doing this on Wedding Paper Divas if that makes a difference.
I know I “technically” should be saying “Mrs. and Mrs. John Smith,” so once I chose to include our mothers’ names, maybe no other etiquette matters? Amy I overthinking this? Help please!
